ReplyDeletemarge, it was because I did the online form before I went there - the passport offices have a seperate line for people who do the online application because it goes much faster and much of the information is submitted and correct already.
ReplyDeleteThe office opens at 9:00, I did get there at about 8:00 so I was only about 15th in line. They called me within 10-15 minutes and it took another 10 minutes or so to process it, so I was out of there by 9:25.
After all the horror stories I've heard about lineups, I was pretty relieved!
